StarCraft Battle Chest Acquired!

I did it! It’s a big day for this writer, folks. After talking about my desire to purchase the PC version of StarCraft and move forward from the Nintendo 64 version, I have finally done it. You are now looking at [the words of] the proud owner of StarCraft for the PC. Just about an hour ago, I went to my local Target and purchased the StarCraft Battle Chest that had teased me so many times before. But why is this a big deal, you ask? Well, I’ll tell you right now as the game installs onto my hard drive.

Before today, I was only familiar with the Nintendo 64 version of StarCraft, aptly titled StarCraft 64. And while it was an enthralling, addictive, amazing experience, I always had a hankering for the PC version of the game. I saw a friend of mine playing it for a very short period of time, and that sparked my interest. But when I read the reviews, read fan reactions, and saw gameplay videos, I knew I wanted to get my hands on StarCraft, one of the best-selling PC games of all time!

You see, the StarCraft 64 is everything I could ever want in a video game and more. But I always wanted to see the cut-scenes in StarCraft. More importantly still, I always wanted to play on Battle.net. And now I can. This is momentous occasion folks; a big day. No, a huge day! And while many people would probably think I’m making a big deal about this, I know you, the StarCraft faithful, are happy for me. Because you all know how awesome StarCraft is, and you know that this is in actuality a very huge deal.

Now you’ll have to excuse me. My brand new copy of StarCraft has finished installing. I look forward to staying up late tonight!
