Hopefully, the majority of you saw the title of this post and said, “Yes” almost immediately. Actually, hopefully all of you saw the title of this post and said, “Yes” almost immediately. Today’s post isn’t going to involve my usual deep thinking in terms of StarCraft or StarCraft II, and it’s not going to be some sort of review or a look at any feature on the StarCraft II website. Instead, today I’m looking to talk about StarCraft II and the very act of preordering the game.
If it wasn’t obvious before, then I’ll make it clear right now: the main reason to preorder StarCraft II is because the first game was so awesome, that this much awaited sequel almost ensures video game ownage. That’s right; if you loved StarCraft for the PC—or the Nintendo 64 like I did—then you have no reason to skip out on this sequel. We’ve got just under three months until the highly anticipated launch of StarCraft II. That means if you’re broke like me, you have more than enough time to scrape at your couch cushions, inspect the darkest depths of your car’s seats, and walk down the street looking down for any pennies, nickels, and dimes you may find. (If you’re lucky, you may even find a dollar!)
While you’re at it, you may want to cut down on the fast food. No, I’m not taking a shot at anyone’s weight. Personally, I love my take-out, but I also know that it takes its toll on my wallet. So while I’m getting fat, my wallet is getting super skinny, and I can’t have that. You never know; saving up for StarCraft II may actually help you lose those five extra pounds you’ve been keeping an eye on.
StarCraft II is coming, and it’s coming soon. Go preorder the game the moment you have a chance. Let’s face it. Chances are if you don’t preorder it, the likelihood of you snagging a copy on launch day is very slim. So are you preordering StarCraft II? I hope your answer is yes.
