I tried. I really tried to get a nice, detailed post out to you, the StarCraft Fan readers today, but I simply could not. What was this post going to be about? Well, StarCraft II’s official site now features a brand new short story called Collateral Damage, and I wanted to read it and publish a review right here. Unfortunately, I simply cannot access the site. And it’s not just Firefox that isn’t working. I can’t get Google Chrome to load it up, and I can’t get Internet Explorer to load it up. (Well, I can never get Internet Explorer to load anything up.)
So what do I write about now? What StarCraft-related entry can I post on here for you all to indulge in? I guess I can write about StarCraft players, but I’ve done that in the past quite frequently. I can tell you about how I hate my weekend job all over again. Nah. I guess I’ll talk to you about what I hope for StarCraft II. Yeah, that’ll do.
So what do I expect from StarCraft II? Heck, a lot more StarCraft, plain and simple! I’m not like those people who can’t get over the fact that the series is progressing; I embrace that! Although I want the game to retain the charm, functionality, and inviting gameplay that made the first game so awesome, I also want it to introduce new gameplay elements that’ll keep me hooked for years to come. And if I were to be quite honest, I think StarCraft II will deliver the goods and, just like its predecessor, provide one of the best gaming experiences of its time.
