A Future StarCraft Player?

So it looks like I’m going to be an uncle. That’s right, StarCraft fans! Yesterday we got a call from my oldest sister, and she delivered the big news. I’m excited, and I look forward to finally being an uncle. (Is this the kind of occasion where I should grow out a mustache?) A new member in the family is always exciting for countless reasons.

The first and main reason is obviously because a brand new addition to my rather small family is something we can all look forward to. And with my sister planning on moving closer to home, we’ll all be able to watch the baby grow up happy and healthy.

Another reason worth being excited about is the possibility of a future gamer entering the family. Uncle David loves his video games, and he would certainly love nothing more than to have a new hardcore gamer in the family. He or she could get into Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Monster Hunter, and so on.

But what about StarCraft? It’s quite possible that by the time the new family member is old enough to play StarCraft, a third entry in the series will be running wild on PCs everywhere. Whether it’s with StarCraft, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, or StarCraft III: Demolished Freedom (Like my fictional title?), this new family member must get into StarCraft. I’ll do everything in my power as an uncle to make sure he or she gets into Blizzard’s awesome RTS series.

Who knows? This kid may be my new Battle.net buddy someday!
