A StarCraft II Weekend

StarCraft 2 Carrier Swarm

What a weekend! I’m hot off the heels of a StarCraft-filled weekend, and I feel great. What did I do this weekend, you ask? Well, I obviously played StarCraft II! But it wasn’t just a few rounds here and there; it wasn’t just some map-making; it wasn’t even one day of StarCraft II gameage. Nope, I spent this Friday and Saturday playing StarCraft II all day. I decided I’d take an early weekend (such things are possible when you’re an independently contracted games journalist) and play StarCraft II nonstop.

I started on Friday at around 2 in the afternoon. I played through a bit of the campaign, and then I texted my buddies who own a copy of the game. I told them to get on so we could get some competitive gaming going. Unfortunately, not all of my friends have the benefit of being independently contracted, so they couldn’t get in on the fun until later that day, but it was an awesome gaming day that didn’t end until around 11.

I went to bed tired, woke up Saturday morning, and did it all over again. It was a fun two days that really helped relieve some stress, and I look forward to doing it again sometime in the near future. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is indeed as awesome as everyone says it is. After all, millions of gamers can’t be wrong, right?

Before I end this post, I’ll offer these words to the StarCraft fans reading this post: Burger King, Dr. Pepper, and StarCraft II. The perfect combination for the perfect weekend!
