I am a proud man. I’d like to think I don’t make many unforgiveable mistakes, and when I do, it’s hard for me to admit to them. But I must admit that earlier today I committed a terrible act, and for that I must apologize. I sincerely apologize with all of my heart… to my Nintendo 64.
I’m sorry.
You see, I committed a terrible act. After having that wonderful StarCraft 64 cartridge lodged into my Nintendo 64 console for a few days, I decided to take it out and play something else, and that something else was ClayFighter 63 1/3.
I know…
But before you judge me, I should explain my reasons. You see, I have a pretty big deadline to meet for one of the other websites I write for. I have until the end of February to submit 10 articles, all of which I’ve decided will be video game reviews. Until earlier today, I only had four. I am now halfway done with my assignment, the fifth review being the one for ClayFighter 63 1/3.
So you see, switching from StarCraft 64 to ClayFighter 63 1/3 was merely a case of necessity. I have to put food on my table and gas in my car, and I have to purchase games to review, so I had to do the unthinkable. Unfortunately, it was at the expense of my Nintendo 64.
A long time ago, I vowed never to put a lame video game into one of my consoles, and today I broke that vow. I removed one of the greatest games of all time in StarCraft 64 from my Nintendo 64 console and placed ClayFighter 63 1/3, a title that, if regarded as mediocre, would be receiving praise.
So Nintendo 64, I apologize. After being in my possession for about 13 years and providing me with more hours of fun than I can ever hope to count, I actually played ClayFighter 63 1/3 on you. I’m sorry. I promise it will never happen again. Now, how about some makeup StarCraft 64?
