Battle.net and Girlfriends

So I was on the phone with my girlfriend a few days ago, and we got to talking about StarCraft. She had previously told me that she played the game a bit, and that for the amount of time she played, she really enjoyed StarCraft. I recently talked to her about how enjoyable StarCraft on the PC was, and I told her that I was currently working on the campaign, and that I was eagerly looking forward to playing on Battle.net.

That’s when one of my bright ideas came to mind, and I said, “Hey, let’s play StarCraft against one another one of these days.” She immediately agreed, and I was ecstatic. We haven’t set a specific day to play yet, but I look forward to the day we do. It probably won’t happen for some time, given that her brother is taking their copy of StarCraft on a trip with him, and the game isn’t installed on her computer, but oh what fun it will be to make with the StarCraft gameage on Battle.net with my girlfriend.

I guess that’s one of the perks that comes with having a girlfriend that’s into video games: she’s pretty open to competitive gaming. And I’m a competitive guy, so having a girlfriend that wants to take me on at StarCraft is awesome. I have no intention of going easy on her, as I’m sure she’ll bring her A-game and give me a good fight. Who knows? I may even be in danger of losing. Nah! (That’s the overconfident competitive gamer in me getting a little too cocky.)
