Some time ago, I informed all of our readers here on StarCraft Fan that Blizzard was having a writing contest, with the grand prize winner having a chance to meet Blizzard’s talented writing staff and—get this—have dinner with them! Well, the writing contest will soon come to an end, so if you’re a talented writer and you’ve been putting off entering the contest, you should definitely act fast, because Blizzard will only be accepting entries until Monday, August 23.
Let’s think about the grand prize for a bit. Certainly it must be cool to meet the people who wrote for games such as StarCraft and Diablo, but having dinner with them is like icing on an already icing-topped cake. It’s like an overdose of awesomeness. Imagine all the things you can talk about with these folks while enjoying a tasty meal with them.
I know I’d be asking them about their inspirations and their desire to write. I’d want to know when and why they decided to do what they do. But that’s just me. What would you ask them? Also, what would they ask you? Now, I’ve met some pretty well-known people in my life such as the crew from GiantBomb.com and the co-creator of Sonic the Hedgehog, Yuji Naka, and suffice it to say I was star struck beyond belief. I would imagine that being the case here.
