I just got back from the Borders bookstore at the nearby mall. I had a few extra bucks in my wallet and I thought, what the heck, I might as well get Heaven’s Devils. After all, I have been wanting to get it since I read the first excerpt on StarCraft II’s official site. Now that those free excerpts aren’t continuing on that site, I figured I’d go out and get William C. Dietz’s awesome science fiction novel.
I haven’t actually had time to read it, and I probably won’t until after the fourth of July, but suffice it to say that I am extremely excited to finally get started on it. Those free excerpts certainly served to whet my appetite, but now I’m ready for the full course. But again, I’m so slammed with both this games journalism business and some upcoming security gigs that I am 100% certain that I won’t be able to get started on this lovely novel until the fifth of July.
So if you’ve read it, shhhh! Don’t spoil anything! And if you haven’t read it, check out the free excerpts on StarCraft II’s website. I may or may not post a review of the novel on here once I’m done reading it. The reason I wouldn’t do it is because I’ve reviewed all of the free excerpts, so you pretty much know what to expect from the novel. I’d basically be repeating myself if I did post a review—with no major spoilers—here on StarCraft Fan.
So it has happened. I have purchased Heaven’s Devils. Am I looking forward to it? Heck yeah!
