I need a laptop. At least for the next four days. Or should I say nights. You see, I’m going to be putting my security officer license to use these next few nights leading up to the 4th of July. I’m going to be in charge of guarding one of those fireworks stands. You know the ones. You see them everywhere the week before and the days leading up to the 4th. And I’m going to be sitting all by my lonesome from 10 at night to around 10 in the morning. Scary stuff indeed, especially since it’s in a not-so-nice neighborhood. Just hope nothing happens to me!
Anyway, it should be a pretty easy gig for the most part. I won’t be doing much of anything. I’ll just be sitting there, watching time slowly pass me by. I’ve already made a checklist of the essentials: video game magazines, my lovely Nintendo DS, my iPod, and snacks aplenty. But sadly, there’s one item I can’t add to that checklist: StarCraft.
And the reason this is so is because I don’t have a freaking laptop! I bet those 12 hours I’ll be working each night would just fly by if I had a laptop to play my copy of StarCraft on. But alas, I am screwed. Maybe I can borrow one from my friend. I don’t know. I’ll have to ask. In any case, I can assure you these next four nights would be much easier with some good old StarCraft. Oh, well. Maybe next year.
