Memorial Day Weekend – StarCraft Style!

Currently taking up loads of my time is Super Mario Galaxy 2.  Nintendo’s latest Mario platformer certainly surprised me with its long-lasting value and dozens upon dozens of extra things to see, do, and discover within the confines of the beautifully rendered 3D world.  And this is a good thing for someone like me that enjoys a lot of bang for his buck.

But this weekend, on my weekend away from work—my much deserved weekend off, if you will—I decided to take some time away from Super Mario Galaxy 2 and just get nostalgic with some StarCraft.  Saturday was my four month anniversary with my lovely girlfriend, so I didn’t get my game on all that much that day.  And Sunday was my mom’s birthday, so I wasn’t about to ignore my wonderful mother on such an important day.

But once it hit midnight and it was officially Monday, I came to my computer, powered it on, grabbed something to drink, and played StarCraft for hours on end.  I have no idea how late it was when I went to bed, but it must have been pretty late because I woke up at 2 in the afternoon the day after.  (How I missed doing that!)  That day, in case you’re wondering, was spent in front of the computer as well, and I played more StarCraft than I thought I would.

My Memorial Day may seem fairly uneventful to most other people, but I found that it was just what I had hoped for my weekend off to be: a few days with no stress, no annoying people at a nightclub, and some good gaming going on with StarCraft.

What about you, dear reader?  Do anything StarCraft-related this Memorial Day weekend?
