StarCraft Manga

So I was pleasantly surprised this past weekend when I went to my local bookstore and found the StarCraft manga series. I was taking a look at the comic books, eying the Spider-Man and Batman comics with much enthusiasm when I made my way over to the manga section. I don’t own any manga nor have I ever read any—although there are two series I am very interested in—but I always look through the selection just to see if there’s anything that piques my interest.

Well, StarCraft manga really piqued my interest, and I flipped through the black and white book, seeing a lot of cool imagery as I did. There’s just something so engrossing about the StarCraft series that makes me want to check out any content on the product. (I’m planning on buying the novels in the coming weeks.) I was short on cash up until yesterday, so I reluctantly placed the manga back on the shelf. But suffice it to say that I can now add another StarCraft-related piece of literature to my wish list.

*Sigh* It seems I have so many items on my wish list. And plenty of them are StarCraft-related. In addition to all those comic books I want, the countless video games I need to get, and some much-needed art supplies, I can now add StarCraft manga to my list of things to buy in the coming weeks.

Oh, and did I mention that the StarCraft manga is published by Tokyopop? Not only is that publisher known for releasing some sweet Japanese deathmatch wrestling DVDs, but they also happen to be behind the two manga series I want to read. Oh, Tokyopop, what joy you bring me!

The moral of this story: StarCraft + Tokyopop = Win!
